Whats the general consensus on this card.

I purchased one of these, should be getting in tomorrows post, and want to know if its a capable beast in AGP form?

I have a P4 3.4 1GB ram upgrading from a 9800pro, am I going to be able to tick all the options in say Toca 3 AF, refresh lock etc, and run at high resolution without any slow down?

Is the card I brought more than capable for new games. I predominatly use the PC for MCE 2005 (DVD, Live TV), and gaming when the missus is not around :(

Thanks for your help

What sort of X850 is it? Pro or XT?

If pro then you are looking at around 6800GT performance.

If it is the XT then you are looking more at 7800GS performance.

For the price they are excellent cards. The lack of features is a tiny set back compared to the brute power they offer. Especially if most of the games you play are sm2.0 games anyway.

as the post above really....

although my cousin has the XT version and when playing colin mccrae rally 4 it plays on nearly max with great fps....

so a great card for the price considering he paid nearly £350 a few months back....

oweneades can i ask is that X1800xt a 256 or 512 cause how do you get them clocks.... :)

cheers :D

Sorry, its the XT. What it like for media playback, i.e. DIVX, DVD's etc? Will be smoother?

Also whats the best connection to a 32" HD LCD LG screen? DVI?

You'll probably find it only comes with 2 DVi outputs on it, so a straight DVI connection would be best.

Just bought a Powercolor X800GT, that came with 2 DVI outs only on it, but it's a cracking card..
