*** Pre-Order Your Asus R.O.G. X48 Rampage Formula Now***

The ETA has not been confirmed as rumours have emerged yet again of a further delay...possible mid-march now.

We will get a significant chunk of the first stock to enter the country, usually more than any other e-tailer.

Besides official FSB 400 support, what does it offer over the x38? Are they more overclockable?

Intel has sent out a notice to inform partners that the X48 chipset delivery will be delayed to WW12, which is in March. No motherboard manufacturers will get chipsets before that and that includes the first tier like ASUS and Gigabyte

I would think if they're not getting the chipsets until March, i would suspect that Mobo deliverys mighten be until April :(

Damn, Looking forward to ordering this one when its available though.

Is there going to be an SE version with the "Fusion block" ?
There is no indication that such a thing is even being considered.

They already have the chipsets, in fact I've already received some samples from Gigabyte and Asus were all ready to ship the first batch of P5E3 Premium apparently, so it is not a shortage of chipsets that has triggered any further delay. I'm still waiting for confirmation from Asus.

From VR-Zone :

Intel has sent out a notice to inform partners that the X48 chipset delivery will be delayed to WW12, which is in March. No motherboard manufacturers will get chipsets before that and that includes the first tier like ASUS and Gigabyte. Although there is no reason provided by Intel in the notice but it is definitely not due to the 'one of the first-tier motherboard makers still holds a large volume of X38 chipset inventory' rumors.

I won't be hanging on that long, sick of the waiting now for what only appears to be a speed binned chipset. March until Asus etc get them so factor in manufacturing times and shipping aswell as the inevitable 'no stock' delays the UK suffer from it will be April at the earliest. :(

Think I'll stick to my X38 based board - nothing new here.
Even my X38 says on the box/manual/website 1600fsb support so nothing new here for me.

P45 - I'll certainly take a look at.
