I love The Kinks, I don't see any resemblance at all in their music.

The Blur's lyrical style if not musical style was straight out of the Kinks and Madness hand book for Chemical World, Park Life and the Great Escape. Lots of stories dressed up as songs.
Oasis just stole every popular chord going and tried to be some Who/Beatles frankenband. Worked beautifully for the first 2 albums pure dirge after that.
As to the OP, yeah light weight over produced pap performed by limited talent corporate drones.

Sorry to disappoint, for I was Blur
But not Country House. I just thought that Blur's and Oasis' made a bad choice of songs for their clashing week, considering the amount of hype that it got. Blur's first 3 albums were excellent though. Modern Life, Leisure, and finally Parklife.
