Have a requirement for recording a few presentations, the camera webcam side of things is easy enough to sort out but it's the microphone I'm struggling with.

Originally I was looking at using just the mics in the logitech c922 but the cameras going to be about 4-6ft away from the presenter?

Any ideas?

How much do you have to spend?

My suggestions would be either a lavalier mic clipped to the presenter's shirt if that's practical, or otherwise get a shotgun/video mic like a RODE VideoMic GO or similar.

Basically you want a mic that will focus on the voice of the presenter and nothing else, to avoid that echo-y awfulness you hear on amateur YouTube videos and the like. Aim to capture as little reflections and room noise as possible.

The more you spend, the more clarity and better room rejection, but if it's a one off thing then there's no point spending hundreds of pounds on mics and recorders.
