'Prince' Naseem jailed for car crash

So hes intending to make his boxing comeback this year? What is he going for the heavyweight title now?

I am impressed that no one died in a head on collision at those speeds, think I need to go and buy a golf.

If I remember rightly, the incident happend on Ringinglow road, about 2 mins from my mum and dad's house. The roads dead straight but pitches up and down quite a lot as it gets close to the residential bit. To do 90 is utterly unbelievable - he can't have had ANY control of the car whatsoever!

Criminal law solicitor on PH thinks he will be out within 14 weeks, so about 3 months.

He can appeal it, and why wouldn't he, he has the cash, but going through the process will take time so i think he'll do at least 6 months.

Nope, that's out in 14 weeks based on the sentence of 15 months :(

I don't actually drive so wouldn't know but wouldn't driving a McLaren Mercedes SLR at 90mph be a different ball game to a 1.2 Corsa at 90mph?

Yes but racing tracks dont have the potholes and irregular surfaces of a normal road like this one has. He wouldnt have had proper control, lower suspension only makes that even more difficult to control

Whats the point in sentencing people then, they may aswell just say right you are going to prison, you will get out when you can proove otherwise. Its a complete shambles. So to actually serve 15 months he would have to get banged up for 10 years.

Ringinglow road is pretty flat and smooth. It's the blind crests that makes this completely idiotic. However the rolling section is national speed limit.

sorry for the double post =(
anyway, the reason i believe his ban should be longer / indefinite is because it isn't his first accident, i always seem him driving completely erratically around my area and he really is a danger to pedestrians and other drivers.
also, he tried to run away from the scene of the accident (he did run away) and then claimed it wasn't him driving, it was only when he was proven to be the driver he gave in and admitted he was guilty ..
he's an arrogant moron and deserves all the jail time he gets, he could have used his status as a positive effect in society / the community, instead he repeatedly nearly kills people and puts others' lives at stake :(

Yep - and there's loads of cyclists, horse and riders, runners using that road, dodgy run-offs either side all time of the day. Believe me, ive been fast down that road (in up-rated 200sx and Elise) but i'd never hit 90 as you just wouldnt be able to see what was coming. Not surprising that the crash happened where the rolling section was, not on the smooth section towards Fox House.

Also, halfway up there's a junction (going down to the mayfield valley) where people just seem to randomly pull out!
