Looking at whether it is better to get a printer for printing these (with end goal of putting them in frames) or sending them off and paying.

Quaility does not have to be spectacular but I'd like to print onto the normal glossy 'card' and look good from a short distance.

No idea how much I need to spend to not be disappointed.

Also, might be irregular use and so may not be viable?

Considering you can get good quality prints from around 10p per print I wouldn't say it's really viable to do it at home?

Decent quality printer, photo paper and then ink on top, can't see it being cheaper than just getting them done online.

Apparently the hp series no have a 15pages per month free service.
As in you don't pay for ink.
But if it really is 10p a print for a photo, I agree that there's no popoint buying one at all!

Wow. I think you might be right.
Add the paper and it seems like online might be cheaper even without the cost of the printer!

That's crazy. And since will only be printing every now and again and in no rush for the pics, online seems Better.

I had no idea it was as cheap as it was to online print!
