Low latent inhibition.

It’s the inability to filter out un-important stimuli from environmental conditions from conscious thought. For the majority of people it leads to disability like symptoms, being unable to filter out the intricacies of many of the things you come across in every day life can become mind bending and completely destroy high level consciousness.
For an exceptional few it allows them to become incredibly creative and enthrals an amazing drive to understand things to an almost compulsive level, it effects some worse than others and there are degrees of the “condition” just like any other.
Jordan Peterson wrote a good paper on it a few years ago
I’m surprised you don’t remember it Linoge as it is a rather major plot line. I think it appears in episode 9 of the first series.

Not sure which ep it's in, but I think I remember how it explains that someone intelligent who has low latent inhibition turns out to be very creativity.
