Privoxy + Hamachi

Hey guys,

So I am going to France for a week and have installed both privoxy and hamachi on my home computer.

On my laptop which I am taking I have also installed hamachi to give me a secure connection over there. The thing I wanted to ask about was using services such as iPlayer.

Of course my laptop will have the public IP address of my home network. But is this enough, will iPlayer work?

One final thing I wanted to ask was about sharing my home connection over hamachi. Does this help? Is it possible?

If the tunnel is working correctly, yes.

Does Hamachi have a low bandwidth though? Just worried that by using this method the connection will be too slow!

Better to run an SSH Server, preferably on port 443 which will help overcome any firewalls you might get stuck behind.

I run an SSH Daemon on my actual router and it's damn handy

Hamachi's servers will only be used if it isn't able to establish a direct connection between peers.
