Probably a dumb question (moving apps from one phone to another)

As I just mentioned in my other thread, I'm returning my now faulty Archos 40 titanium is being sent back to where I got it from to be replaced by another cheaper phone purchased from elsewhere (it most likely will be the Huawei Ascend Y300) but I want to transfer some of the apps I've installed and used to the new phone.

Will it be as simple as moving the data to an SD card (which I've done already) or would it be more complicated as in having to download the whole app again from the play store (the same google account will be used on the new phone).

It's just that one of the apps had a flaky restore system, and the only concrete way to get it restored beyond using the customer number can't be used as it's being used for backup on the same game on another device.

Apps are tied to your Google account not your device, so there for sign in with your Google account and the play store will automatically download the apps you last had installed.

User data can be backed up using helium or similar app (root possibly needed) but transferring that data to a different device is not recommended. Even though it's the same operating system some things are different between versions and devices so it can cause errors and more trouble than it's worth.

I hadn't played one of the apps that much, so the loss of data isn't that great and I created a second facebook account so I can restore the other game on the new device and have wiped the apps from the faulty phone.
