Hi there, not sure where this should go so it shall stay here unless a mod decides to change it :).

My net is connected through a phone while that runs all the way upstairs to the modem. The phone wire connects to the main phone socket downstairs and its the one that allows the house phone to connect too.

The problem that I have now is that everytime the phone is in use the internet will cut out :(! This did not happen before with my old set of house phones.

I have a sky Netgear router if it makes any difference.

Thanks for anyhelp!

You might need a filter.

This; and if you already have one try another as it sounds like it's broken. You'd be much better off putting the modem/router near the socket and running a long ethernet cable to the PC, btw. Longer phone lines (especially cheap internal 'extension' cords) degrade ADSL. Or, perhaps go wireless?

This thread would have been better in the Networks & Internet Connectivity section btw. :p
