Hi Guys, I've posted a help problem in general section here http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=11244698&postcount=1 Its concerning a monitor problem from a well known manufacturer. As I explain in the topic I have had 3 monitors, 1 new and 2 replacements under warranty but its now out of warranty [12 month warranty] and they told me over the phone today that it must be my PC unit because of the same problem with all 3 monitors.

They also stated I am the first customer to report this type of fault and they have not had to deal with it before so can't help further. I did a google this evening and found there are dozens and dozens of people having the exact same problem and most are on their second or third monitor while still under warranty.

Can anyone offer advice on what steps to take or what my rights are seeing it is a fault that seems to be in the design of the monitor switching system?

Thank you for replying coolpunkskater. I realize the warranty period has now expired but what I'm trying to get at is they are selling, or were as they have now withdrawn this model from sale, a monitor that they know has an inbuilt fault with many if not most people suffering from and yet they are denying the problem exist and trying to blame it on the users PC. With one user after swapping his monitor out 3 times and written proof his system was in perfect working order they said his household wiring must be causing the fault.

If the model of monitor has the same exact fault occurring with so many people and being swapped out without question during the warranty period surely it should be replaced even though out of warranty with a different model. They did say to me I was the only person to report this fault and therefore it must be my fault. To me it appears it was not fit for sale in the first instance but I don't fully understand these things.

Arh now ive got you :D

Ok well you've got a few things to try

No.1 Trading Std's
No.2 BBC's Watchdog program
No.3 Cit's Adivce

Sorry i cant think off any more and if they have stoped selling the monitor then it says to me they know theres a fault on it but wont say as they know its going to cost them big time
