Hi..


I'm on my third 02 W800i now, the camera randomly stops working.

Basicly when you open then shutter you should get the focus box when you press the button, but mine does nothing, as though the button is disconnected/broken.

Anyone else experianced this?

Nope sorry, I only know of the joystick problem as being regularly noted. Mine is still pretty dodgy but seems to have behaved itself a bit better recently, the phone was unlocked with Fresh from Carphone Warehouse.

Does the camera do it all the time? If it is still under warranty you should be able to get it replaced/repaired without a problem.
 
it worked when i first got it (same as the 2nd replacement) but just seems to stop working at some point and thats it! Its still under warranty but im thinking about asking o2 for a different model now, its starting to take the ****

hmm, thats strange. i was in the pub with a friend last week who had this problem with his k750i ..

i thought he was drunk (after half a pint) because he could focus, but then it wouldnt take the picture..

he took out the memory card turned it off put the card back in and it worked fine :confused:

i have a w800i too and ive not had this problem so far... post a fix if you find one ;)
 
I had this problem with one of my k750i's, ended up having to get it replaced, im on about my 7th or 8th one due to various problems and vodafone still wont let me change model :o
 
Gah!

Mine won't even focus, when you open the shutter all you can do is scroll through the options, the picture button does nothing!
 
I had the problem, but it seems to have disappeared now (I think). Sometimes I'll open the lens and it won't work at all, so i need to close it then open it again.
As for problems, I need to buy ANOTHER headphone plug cable, it'll be the third... that and the fact that the headphones are a second pair makes me sad.
I've started thinking that the w800i's faults are more like foibles, character traits. One day it will be grumpy and turn off randomly, and other times it'll be great. -_-
