Hi,

I've just purchased a Samsung LE32N73BDX with the intention of using it with my HTPC. It connects with a standard VGA cable rather than component leads from a geforce 7600 gs.

The problem is the tv will not detect the PC connection, the Samsung shows the PC connection as greyed out. The VGA lead is fine and been tested, and the card happily outputs to my old CRT screen. Also when I do output with component cables I get a picture albeit but it's grey and fuzzy (this may be down to a bad component adapter, I have no spare).

Does anyone have any experience of this panel or know if I am making any obvious howlers? Otherwise I am on the phone to Samsung.

Still lovelly looking set.

Got a laptop or alternative computer around to troubleshoot with? You shouldn't be having any problems, and 800x600 or 1024x768 (typical new screen detected/laptop output resolutions) should display on your TV allowing you to change to 1360x768 once in Windows.

I don't know what the OSD is like on the N-series. Is there a menu for enabling/disabling the connections that're cycled through?

I'll try with a laptop tomorrow, As for menus it appears that it's all automatically detected.

Well, tried the other laptop and still the same issues. I have just talked to Samsung support  and they are going to send an engineer out at some point.
