I havent been over to the house yet. But my mate has got two xbox 360's on x box live.

One is wireless and the other one is wired.

Basically the problem is only ONE can be on xbox live at any one time. If the other console signs on the other one signs out?

Im assuming its an IP conflict?

Im not very network minded. I have looked on the net, and the advice is all over the place. i dont want to start suggesting to buy items that arnt needed

As most posts on the net point to a better router :s

Many thanks

Most likely a router issue. Some can't handle multiple Xboxes when it comes to port forwarding.

Their might be a fix depending on your router, but the when I had the issue I ended up getting a new one.

It's most likely because one is wire and other is wireless. If they was both on wireless then it should work fine.

Also. You can fix this by one of them connecting thouah a laptop\pc.

i have 2 360's on my network with VM and a WRT54GL with Tomato on. I have mine set to a static IP with port forwarding setup and the other setup with static DHCP and have added it to the DMZ of my router.

If I don't do this then they can both be on Live but I can't join party chats or multiplayer games etc

WNR2000 freebie router form virgin and handled two xboxes fine without any messing, one wired and the other wireless. 2nd box was only a silver account so don't know if there would have been a probem sigining in to games etc.
