probs with netgear dg834g

hello all i have had this router for about 8 months its been ok for a while but i noticed about 4 months after i had it and was web browsing and the internet light flashes for like 3 seconds amber and everything freezes then after its gone amber it will go back green and be ok but then after 20 mins it will do it again. After that it can be ok for for 1 whole day. I rang netgear and told them the issue they said dl the new firmware and ull be sorted i did and its still doing it. Its highly anoying wen im dl of limewire all my dl go to 0 k then it signs me out off msn. It goes back green and all is well again but all my dl speeds have been slow of a result of this. I thought dl this new firmware it would sort this issue. Im not amazing with pcs so have any of you guys girls got any ideas.

it dont sound likes its the router, more like your line or isps end
make sure all filters are in right and working, check the line for crackleing
if its ok then find out if your isp as any probs.

hmmm ok well im with aol but never use it always use the firefox browser so you thinks i should ring up aol and ask this question.

hi Bam911, you could do but most of them dont help. they alway blame it on somethink else and not them self.

i would leave it and see how it goes, and if its still happening in a weeks time then i would ring them

im with pipex and this month my nets bin crap as well. but only at peak times
when most ppl are online downloading like mad
