Products you would like to see from Apple?

With talk of the new OS, I'd actually really like to see some out of the box thinking from Apple re the OS. Don't get me wrong I think OS 10.6 is great, but it hasn't evolved all that much from earlier releases such as Tiger. Maybe that's a good thing and maybe it doesn't need to evolve much. Just a thought.

Erm. Mac laptops have had Firewire since the G3 back in 1999. Some consumer models might be missing it, but the Pro models have always had it.

eSata can be added to most MacBook Pros via the Expresscard slot.

Yeah, i'd like a Netbook from them as well. I have this PC for gaming, so my 13" MB is purely a work machine and i'd be happy if they made it even more portable.

Necrobump.

I was sitting thinking today I'd like a baby Mac Pro. mATX form factor. With an i5 or choice of an i7. With a good graphics card. Choice of 460, 580 or 6xxx ATI cards. Reason being, with Steam on Mac now, we need a "gaming" tower. The iMac can just about cut it in 21.5 inch with the 4670 and 5670. But it's not great. The 27" iMacs have **** cards for gaming at the native resolution. The Mac Pro is complete overkill as a gaming platform.

As much as I like my iMac (9400m model) and MBP (320m), I really miss gaming.

I would love to see a more reasonably priced mac mini (in the older style case) with i3 and i5 processors and the options to chose a different kind of graphics card. There is a rather large gap in apples range between mac mini and mac pros, something between the two would be nice.

Bluray would also be nice on any mac platform but that seems unlikely.

A successor to the iPod Classic that uses the same flash storage as the regular iPods but with 128GB capacity or more, and has a true digital-out so the DAC and amping can be something with better portable components (can't you tell I'm on Head-Fi?)

A television? Receiver? Basically a full A/V and computing range. Or something.
