After changing a panel on my bike and lifting it up around something I noticed it would look quite nice on the wall. I mentioned this to the other half and got the green light to do something with it on the condition it was tarted up a bit.
I realized I couldn't use that pannel as the paint scheme is pretty rare, so I decided to get another piece of fairing and spray it up....but why stop there!?
So the plan is to now source the 4 panels from ebay, rub them down primer them and then spray them. Then make something to mount it to and then mount it all to the wall!
I aim to do this all as cheaply as possible so will do everything myself except maybe the paint job.
This panel cost me £18 (delivered) from Ebay (this is the listing pic):
Took to it with a hair drier and a stanley blade to take decals off.
Using a black and decker mouse to sand it down. Taking all the paint off as the decals took all paint with it in some places so taking it right back to make sure there's no lumps etc. This is about an hours worth.
I will be keeping an eye out of the next panel but depends on what it's going for as to whether it gets bought this month
