Quick question, how do you pronounce Boucher?

Is it "Boo-shay"? It's for information on a job and I don't want to sound like an ignorant tit on the phone. Cheers in advance.

Tough call there, feel for you really as it's job related. I would imagine that if you get enough replies that should give you the indication of what to go with.

See I would have said it that way, but a few others have said "Bow-cher" I'm not sure, hopefully they aren't the grumpy type when I call them up.

Used to have a costumer called in this shop I worked with the last name Boucher. We would all say 'Boo-Sher' until he finally snapped at me after about 4 months and said it was Bow-Cher. He did say tough that it was common for people to misspell his name. So I guess its just one of those names people never get right

So if you get it wrong, it's probably not the first time he hears it!
