Is that not the car that JB drove in that video which got repeatedly posted about 3 months ago?

Think so.

Looks so much better than that silly spaceship that's been released over here. Even with two extra doors.

Much better looking than the Euro Civic Type-R. Of course, such a feat wouldn't be difficult....

Spec is much better as well, despite the monumental lack of torque (:D). I'm not so sure that the torsion bar rear end of the Euro model as as big a problem as some people make it out to be, but the independent rear end of this version will obviously be better. Add that to the LSD and the better brakes....I suspect that this car is quite a giggle to drive.

Now if they could just put a proper engine in it....

/VTEC owner baiting off ;)

The only *proper* Civic is the EK9, end of.

Tell that to Honda, if they thought the EK9 was the be-all-and-end-all of Civics they'd probably still be making them....

I assume you Type R cos theres lots of proper Civic's

Civic = granny shopping car driven at 40mph on every road.

Have to say the JDM EP3 is a pretty mean bit of kit.The CRX kinda counts as a civic too.

The torque on that one is pretty good tbh rated at 159lbft, probably gonna go quite well, will be interesting to see how soon they land on UK shores. Quite tempting

Wow, love it.

I absolutely hate the current Civic, it looks horribly space ageish and really doesn't do it for me.

This does.

No they wouldn't, Type R means nothing now. The current Civic Type R is as suitable a company car as a Passat or A4 is. Type R actually meant something back in the 90s, now its just a label Honda are using to shift cars.

And judging by the amont of new Type-R's I've seen already its working.

At the end of the day Honda are out to sell cars, not just to keep enthusiasts happy. If they can get more sales by taming the Type-R slightly who can blame them.

How can they release that over in japan and think our market could not support it, that thing would shift like **** off a shovel. come on honda, sort it out.
