Proper spa hotel in south UK

Have stayed at some before but always been so disappointed with the spa. Typically it's a cool pool and a slightly warm sauna.

My David Lloyd has salt sauna, normal sauna, outdoor sauna, indoor and out door jacuzzi, steam room, scented steam room, ice room, ice dip pool, and a nice pool.

Now maybe expecting that much is ambitious, but I want to go away to a spa hotel that has proper spa facilities that I can rest and sleep in all day, not just get slightly hot in the sauna.

Anyone know of decent ones in the south of uk? I'm Surrey based so prefer some what local but happy to travel a couple hours.

I'm just looking to stay 1/2 nights

Not into spas myself, but The Bath Priory gets excellent reviews from the people I've sent there.
Food is good too, with Michael Caines having been their exec chef and creating a lasting legacy.

I've been here, I didn't particularly like it, definitely in need of a refurb. However the food in the restaurant was great!
Out of interest, how recently was that? I've not been but a couple of my colleagues have been in the last month or so and loved it. It still feels like it's new, but I suppose it's been there a while now.

Wish my DL had any of that. We got 2 pools (1 outdoor) a small sauna and steam room and a small jacuzzi and pay a sodding fortune for it.
I get we are a bit spoilt having all this (I should add I'm not a member but just use the 2 week passes when they come about), but it just really poops all over hotels that call themselves spas when a gym has much much better facilities.

I went around April last year although I was probably spoilt because I'd been to the Center Parcs one a few months before.

The Langley Spa is potentially not too far from you, that is a proper one. But you'll pay for the experience, as you can imagine.

Would you be able to elaborate? From what I can see it's not a hotel, just a day thing that you're expected to leave afrer 5pm?

Not sure all locations have dedicated spa accommodation: https://www.aquasana.co.uk/spa-breaks.html

I didn't stay in the above i stayed on the Centre Parcs site itself as the Spa on on-site, you can pay anything from £600 to 4k for 3 nights, depending how fancy you want to be.

The aqua sanas make every other spa seem ‘meh’. I went to life house in 2022 and compared to aqua sana it’s meh.

Woburn one is better than the Elveden one. But they’re both class.
