www.houseprices.co.uk will tell you the last sale price and date of sale (for free), so as long as it hasnt changed hands since this will give you the information you want. Information is taken from the land registry.

Yeah already checked there, but the property was recently repossessed and sold, but need to find out when it was repossessed and for how much it sold.

Looks like the landregistry is the only option, will look into that as the information is required by someone at work to see if someone is liable for a mortgage shortfall of 50 grand!

if the mortgage company say they are then I can't see why they would lie when the info will be publicly available soon

If thats what the mortgage company say then it will be true as they will have all the necessary paperwork in place to make it stand up. Also don't forget it's not just the difference bettween the sale price and the outstanding mortgage there will be additional fees involved as i'm sure the bank will deduct legal fees, estate agency fees etc.

Hiya,

Anyone know if its possible to find out when a property was repossessed and for how much it sold for at auction after the repossession.

Auctioneers will usually tell you and they also sometimes publish lists from sales. Won't help you on repossession date though.
