Ive just read on another forum that sony are releasing a firmware update so the PS3 supports the use of Xbox 360 games, and Nintendo wii games, supposebly sony are working on a similar type of wii-controller?

Anyone heard this yet?

Supporting Xbox/Wii games on the PS3?

Now if that happens in the near future, I'll eat raw monkey's brain*

Jokes aside, I really doubt there'll be such a thing. Least MS will do what they can to stop that.

Wouldnt happen i really dont think, firmware update wouldnt be good enough to play 360/wii, they would have to emulate them - and the ps3 doesnt have anywhere near enough power to really do that well, the average emulator requires about 10x the original cpu power to work properly, and thats without taking into account graphics card etc.

Plus i dont think that Microsoft and Ninetendo would be too happy about that :D

This is the internet, anything can be perceived as serious/truth/fact because someone said something or someone claims something...

Trust me:) I'm a Doctor:p

I can, so watch out ;)

Definitely won't happen. I know how it feels though, I've observed many a large group of geeks fall for rumours like this and it's easy to be swayed into believing it.

This is the most hilarious rumor I think I have ever heard. Anyone who takes it seriously needs psychiatric help. Seriously!
