PS3 music and gaming

Does anyone know if you can play music in the background whilst playing games yet? I cant find a solid answer on google...

In some games yes, in others no.

yeah i just copied over some music via streaming in media player, tried to play it in game and it told me "no". >< I really cant understand why sony havent added this option yet!

If you have killzone 2 then u can play that while listening to your music

Rumour has it that the concept of 'a console OS that allows you to play music while gaming' has been patented. I don't believe that however and just think Sony haven't got it working (yet?)
