PS3 reads BluRay DVD as Data Disc?

Hey guys, my PS3 keep reading it as a data disc, this a fault with my PS3 or the DVD?

Is the DVD an original? I would try another DVD first of all

Also just to clarify, are we talking bluray disk or DVD. As you said Bluray DVD in the thread title, but only DVD in the question.

if all your games do it, you will need a get the console repaired or do it yourself by buying a replacement bd laser.

As wannabedamned said, is it the same for DVD and Blu-Ray?

Does the disc actually play when you select it from the menu? Or does it browse files?
