PSU Modular Cables

A couple of years ago I bought a Thermaltake Smart Series 530w Modular '80Plus Bronze' PSU which I am relegating to server duties, however, I am interested in a buying another modular string of SATA connectors.

Do I need to buy thermaltake cables, or are they standardised (at the PSU end)?

Thanks

You need to get cables that are specific to that PSU as even though the connectors might be standardised, the way they are wired isn't and getting the wrong cable could mean frying components or drives because the power connections are all around the wrong way.

^that.

I'd just get some y splitter extension cables or whatever rather than worrying too much about plugging direct to psu, use an original molex for example with a converter cable with a few sata plugs on it.
