PSU Works at shop but not at my house. -__-

Costs like 20 one way, I'd end up spending nearly as much as I did on the PSU on the journey :P & Who's to say they'd even check the PC for free?

?? I just went out and brought a corsair cx500, installed it and the PC wont turn on, thought the PSU was dead went back to the store and they tested it with a voltage reader & plugged it into a MoBo

As i said m8 it sounds more like your mobo, i brought a board last year June or July a good branded one as well Msi p76a gd-65 (b3) that just died on me at the week end so time wise has nothing to do with it m8.
System wasn't Oc'd either :(

I had a problem recently where I could not switch on my pc so thought it was the psu.

Disconnected all but the motherboard supply and supply for the cpu (disconnected all drives, removed all ram and disconnected gfx) and it switched on.
Reconnected drives and added ram, still worked.
Reconnected my gfx card and nothing, so my gfx card is now away being repaired.

I did buy a psu tester but you don't need that as the shop has proved that is not the problem.

I tried with no gfx card also, still nothing. I think I needed a new PSU anyway haha
