Just home, and I'm in the mood for a good moan :)

There's many many things I find irratating about Public transport, both trains and busses. For example.......

Here's what happend on the way home today(on the bus):
Firstly got onto the bus to find a bunch of chav/ned girls at the back of the bus, being very loud and annoying...notice they always need to sit at the back of the bus? Why is that? Anyway, another one of there mates got on(a boy this time), they started laughing and shouting etc, then guess what happens next? The phones start going off, the ringtones that have been recorded, really bad squeeky voice songs that the chavs/neds like. So irratating tbh. Then a woman came on(who was a teacher..can tell from her conversation), sat right infront of me, and sat and talked VERY loudly on her mobile phone, and did so for most of the journey. Then a builder, sitting to the left of me...his phone wrang out, started talking..again very loudly. Then this ass of a boy came on, and his phone started ringing with this loud song that he had recorded and it was obiously a text because he didnt talk, then it done it again, and again....and you would think after at least the 5th time of getting a new text message he would put his phone on vibrate, or at least put the volume down, after all he was only holding it in his hand. Then the chavvy lassies started liking the song that kept ringing out on this boys phone and started singing along to it everytime it happend, which I think he was loving tbh. Then a couple of old ladies got on and started talking on the phone aswell :|..THEN when the bus got to the bus station some people got off, and the boy with the ringtone, came up the back of the bus and sat right behind me :|....infront of the girls, which he probably thought they would talk to him because they liked his ringtone.

Basically....mobile phones are so annoying on public Transport IMHO, they should be banned, unless its some nice person making a quick phone call.

Another thing I find very annoying, is when people are listening to music on there headphones, but yet the whole bus/train can hear it :|.....but I'll save that tale for another day :p

Anyway else have these sort of problems? Anyone else find it very annoying?

Whats your views and opinions?

Also, sorry if I've bored you with my little story :o

Thanks..sorry for any typos, bit angry right now

I'm going down the route of general apathy here, long train journeys with people on mobile phones loudly irritate me mildly more but usually I'll put my music on and ignore it. My bus journeys are usually pretty short trips(under 30mins) and I can quite easily put up with people on mobiles for that length of time.

I'd be interested to know how you enforce the "nice people" only for mobile phones rule ;) :)

Or buy a car.

Can't afford it, and havnt got a licence :)

Take it no one else finds mobile phones on the busses etc a problem then? :(

tbh I think its more those awful loud ringtones of songs etc that annoy me so much.

I was on a bus the other day and some kid decided to play through some MP3 music on the speakerphone.

Whats the matter? not got a mobile phone? :p

I can udnerstand it being slightly annoying, but what you could do to counteract it, is to get an ipod and play it at full blast ;)

Hahah. People in general just annoy me. I see where you're coming from though!
At college people have them ipod speakers now which does my head in. Not so much cause it's music. But cause the sound is horrible and distorted and pretty loud.

no i dont find it a problem, it goes along with the crap seats and smelly people that get on.
get a license or find a more stressless way to get to work.

I'm not bothered by people talking on their mobiles but who the **** are these people that decide playing music through the loud speaker on their mobile whilst on a train/bus etc is acceptable

so nobody has ever called you while youre in public?

why do you think they are called /mobile/ phones?

if you can't hack public transport, there's always the walking option isnt there? hehe :p

Just avoid public transport - this sort of thing is inherent on buses, will never change, and is one of the reasons why I'd take a taxi if I needed to get somewhere without the car.

I wish I could take my car to work but thats the problem with having to work in London, I liked it better when I worked near Southend, was much nicer, drive against the traffic to work and against the traffic on the way home, ah bliss
