Public Warning: Joe Bastardi: “Severe Event” For Europe

Anyone noticed that chavs dont panic buy ?

You never see them stocking up on 3 litre bottles of White Lightning or other turps based refreshments or stockpiling Benson & Hedges.

Follow their lead folks and don't panic buy.

So if there's a petrol strike I have to have 8 kids, give up my job, get my neck tattoed and buy a load of Burberry hoodies and gold necklaces?

Depends on definition of 'walking distance'. He also didn't specify what type of shop.

I'd be willing to put £100 on the statement 'more than 50% of British households are positioned within 3 miles of a retail outlet of some description'.

So I'm with Mr White.

that's not everyone is it? Personally its 7 miles to nearest shop and as you can imagine country lanes in winter weather are not easy to travel.

remember we are not all city rats! ;)

I've been ignoring your awful spelling for post after post, but you just insulted me by calling me this:

NO HOTLINKING

Which, credit given, is original I guess :/

At least learn to insult properly. You mystical, ancient cult :) .

Knob is the correct spelling. 'Nob' is a common misspelling.

Anyway...I love it when it's cold. Pitiful how some people deal with it but I still love it.

Ok, Epic veiled (thinly) insults and pictures of door furniture.

Bread storage solutions part of this thred was also good, concidering the opening post and title.

Edit: On a serious note, how bad could the weather get? Just low temps or heavy snow again? I could do with some snow.

Joe Bastardi has been exaggerating the weather for as long as I can remember, he really is famous for it so I would take his forecasts with quite a large pinch of salt. Sure it will be cold and for some parts there might even be enough snow to cause some disruption for a few days, but it is not going to be the cataclysmic, day after tomorrow style event he makes it out to be.

Does it? It covers the UK as well just that we will escape the extreme cold so its is still valid for UK.

If its not cold over next 2-3 weeks feel free to drag this thread up, I know I will :)
