A meal is an option yeah

This reminds me, all being well (I have a few viewings tomorrow with a letting agent and if we find the right property I'd hope to put my name down), I'll be moving into St Albans in around a month.

I recall VIRII that you live in the area, in fact I think many months ago I may have even emailed you - I cannot recall, sorry!

Obviously exploring for a decent pub is something that will by high on my list of priorities, but it'd be nice to have an idea where to start.

Can you recommend somewhere that has a reasonable atmosphere Friday and Saturday nights (but isn't so busy you can't get to the bar without queing for 15 mins) and is a little quieter during the week and therefore suitable for holding a conversation with mates?

Also high on my list of desirable features is a reasonably priced well stocked jukebox.

My favourite pub up here had one with 100 or so CDs in and was great value at 5 songs for a £1, but it's been replaced with an all-singing funky new machine that downloads tracks from the internet, but charges 50p per track, or £1 if it has to download it :(

Oh and another thing... decent Chinese or Indian takeaways?
