Hi guys, I have read all about people having trouble with their colours looking different in prints to what they looked like on their monitor, the problem being especially bad when trying to print black and white and getting purple or green tinted results.
I suppose I was lucky up to now because neither my Epson R300 nor the Olympus P-440 had given me this trouble. The colours while not exactly the same were so close out of the box it wasnt an issue.
Now, I had to reinstall the printer drivers and all of a sudden my monochrome prints are really purple. By a huge amount! Nothing else has changed.
Any tips to make this better? I have even tried adding a strong warm filter to the image before printing to counteract the purple, but the result is almost as purple, nowhere near neutral and all of a sudden darker parts of the images are appearing completely black, while on the screen I can see all the detail.
My R300 has turned into a dog of a printer in 5 minutes!
