PushPrint 2008R2 - Hope right forum

First of all I apologies' if this not the correct forum but I would like to find out what I am doing wrong in respect of the below

I have recently been asked to install New Win 7 machines on to a Domain and for some reason the push print, printers are no longer showing. Previously XP machines

Could someone please advise on a simple checklist (just so I can confirm that the necessary steps have been taken) At the moment I am having to pass over but I do have Admin rights to the Domain, I am not wanting to take any action unless I know exactly what I am doing, even then I am really wanting to know what the cause/s may be for reference.


Oh one notable point it would seem (so I am informed that SCCM is no longer working)< is there a way of adding the machines to the relevant Print Svr spo it is picked up?

In a nutshell I have added a new pc on to a Domain where there is an existing pushptint system and a universal printer assigned to each user they can use safecom then to print out where ever they are.

But even though I put the new PC in the same container and force Gpudate through and policy is applied the universal printer is not assigned to this pc the printer lives on the print svr \\print1 and I can see it but it just isn't deployed or should I say available on this machine, having been so previously on the XP machine.

I am stuck as to what needs to be done I cannot add it via a local port as it fails.. I have asked the one person who does know in my organization but he just fixes it and doesn't tell me how he has done it, which is quite frustrating as it leaves me telling the end user to wait till he gets round to it.

I hope the above makes a bit more sense this time and sorry for any confusion..
