I have just ordered one of these cards "Gainward BLISS GeForce 7800 GS+ SILENT 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (AGP)"

In the card number it says 7800, but in the specs it says its a 7900gt on agp which is correct? Is card is exactly the same as a pci express version apart from slightly lower stock speeds?

There was a thread about the GS and GS+ here

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17553212

but basically, yes. The Gainward Bliss 7800GS+ AGP, is a 7900GT PCIE card bridged to AGP. This means the clock has to run a little slower (so i gather) but I thnk you shouls see near 7900gt performance. I ummed and ahhed about one of these long enough for the 939 PCIe boards to become old tech :), so I didn't actually get one. I was sorely tempted, though I think my money will be going elsewhere.
