Q Cars to shame the Boy Racers

Mate of mine built a few shed sleepers.

Really old Nissan Sunny with a pulsar gti-r engine, and then a Mazda mx3 with a Toyota Celica GT4 engine they both went rather well.

Stripped out & caged Nova/Metro with a tuned C20XE used to be a safe bet.

Thing is that these days whenever I see a Nova/Metro I assume it's modded! Don't think there's any basic ones still in use.

Base model Mk6 Fiesta 1.25 with a Supercharged 2.0 Duratec out of the ST, LSD gearbox, AP racing brakes (small diameter kit to fit under say 15 inch steelies)...go all out and it could be 380+ bhp. Can see that being a sleeper though the monstrous noise would be something of a giveaway :D

I know its not a "sleeper" as such, but I reckon a Focus ST with a remap is the car to have.

You name it, MikeHiow has raced it and beaten it - all in a car that isn't "that" fast really. M3s, scoobys, all comprehensively beaten!

Typical "scene" car, but with a rather large engine fitted, looks slow, goes very well. Very capable car.

So far the closest seems the Maestro Turbo dropped back to look like a standard Maestro in some old beige colour. Plain wheels (no alloys) few bits of rust and the bumper part hanging off and tied on with string. Looking like it wouldn't even fetch £25.

Can you just see the look on a boy racer's face as it leaves him for dead with all his mates laughing their heads off.
