Q) Will high power wireless have more chance of going through fog?

Right okay here is the situation....

You have two near identical wireless kits except one set is high power (to go greater distances) and the other is standard.

Would the high power one be able to get through e.g. fog better than the standard? Or would they both have the exact same signal?

shoudld be better at transmitting a good signal but may or not be better for receiving return signal from the other end

better normally but not necessrily if the probelm is the receiver communcicating back

high power 2wire router solved most of my wifi problems before I saw the light and moved to homeplugs

thanks guys I am not too hot on wireless so every little bit of extra knowledge helps.

So is the consensus high power will have a greater chance at going through fog BUT what really would improve the signal strength most is better antennas?

:)

edit: Just read something about homeplugs hehe yeah for those that never understood my OP I am talking about outdoors :D
