Q6600 1.325 VID - Help me OC to 3.6

I am in the same boat as you were before. I picked up a Q6600 and a Freezer 7 for a mate and am now trying to OC it for him. Even at 3GHz whilst running prime 95 the temps hit about 72c max which I think is a little high. I might try re-seating the heatsink to see if that improves anything.

I recently purchased a super mega with 2 viper fans to try push my q6600 further. I also had a freezer pro which was hitting 68c at 3.3ghz which i felt was pretty warm.

With the super mega I am at 3.55Ghz 1.5v and hitting 63c. At this voltage I can boot into windows at 3.6Ghz but is only stable for 1hr in prime.

From 3.2Ghz to 3.55Ghz I gained about 11fps in the CSS stress test demo. Havent ran any other benchs yet.

Well I made it, eventually.

Bought a Corsair H50 and suddenly overclocking the Q6600 became much easier.

3.6 GHz (400x9) & the load temps with 20 passes of Linx stay below 60C.

Now there's just the small matter of trying for 3.8 Ghz...

what settings did you use?
