Q6600 GO w stock-cooler

That would be nice, had not expected so much, everything over 3GHz is nice, found
some boxed 95W GO´s very cheap, now I will see how far the run with stock-cooler
and incomming air duct, if they go so high as you suggest I will consider to drop the
thermalright ultima 90 that was under consideration,... not worth 100-200 Mhz more

I've got 3 G0's and none will do 3GHz on stock volts. The stock cooler will take you to about 2.8GHz 100% load, but you're looking at core temperatures in the mid-70's under load. At those temperatures you're looking at the fan running flat out all the time. I would seriously consider the aftermarket cooler for overclocking for a bit of peace and quiet if nothing else.

3 G0s!

You own too much hardware my friend

My Q6600 G0 will do 3GHz maximum on stock volts. I need to ramp up the vcore to 1.375 at least to get it Prime stable at 3.2GHz +

I dont find the stock cooler to be that noisey.

But is your system running Folding@Home with 100% utilization on all 4 cores 24 hours a day, 7 days of the week (it should be). I think you might find it gets a bit louder once the temperatures ramp up. And I'll bet if I fitted you up with a proper 'quiet' CPU cooler, you'd not want me to put the stock cooler back on when I left;)

I had a break-down and did order a thermalright ultima 90i :D performing very
close to the 120-extreme, (my case not big enough for the extreme), with lapping, airducts, etc, etc, I now hope for 3.5 ,.... (insteadt of 3.0-3.2)
