Q6600/P5Q Pro OR Q9450/Maximus X38

Just wondering really which would you choose out of the following if they were both roughly the same price:

1.
Q6600 (oem) [used]
with Freezer Pro
Asus P5Q Pro [new]


2.
Q9450 (retail) [used]
Asus Maximus Formula X38[used]




I went for option 2, did I make the right choice?

It's an upgrade from my current spec (in sig) so should notice quite a bit of difference, will be keeping the 8800GTX, just need some ram. What would you guys recommend, I've previously gone for OCZ a lot but I hear problems with asus motherboards? I've never encountered such problems fortunately, but I need 4GB of something good!

8GB would be a waste right?

i just got a 9450 off the mm
the max formula would be brilliant

i would get 2X2gb of dominator

8gb is a waste

if you have to ask - chances are you wont use it all

just go for 4gb and upgrade later if you need it
