Lightning features? AWESOME.

I really want a mechanical keyboard, I think the premium would be worth it.

Google will fill you in on more specifics if you're interested. :) Basically, loud tactile switches with lower actuation force than on a normal keyboard and a longer theoretical lifespan.

~25x normal membrane keyboard lifetime. tbh i think you would have to be rapid touch typing novels for years to wear out a normal keyboard, my G15 has survived 4 years of uni work and 5 years of gaming.

It's not just the life span though, it's the feel. Mechanical is just much nicer to type on. I have a filco with cherry browns, I probably would have been very interested in this had it been around when I was on the look out. Would really like some back lighting.

I wish someone would make a `natural` mechanical keyboard like this one, or the Razer Blackwidow Ultimate.

I've been using `natural` shaped keyboards for about 6 years now & can't type for **** on a normal layout now.

If you want MX browns (better compromise for typing and gaming) get a Zowie Celeritas.

I bought one from ocuk a few weeks back and I love it. Could never use a normal keyboard again.

and that's coming from a G19

A couple of members have asked me to post a photo of the key layout from a photograph. Here we go, still in the packaging but you can see the actual layout of it. :)

I get that they are mechanical and smooth for typing etc, but £99? I just never thought of keyboard cost in that way.

Hey, I just took delivery of one of these and it's great.

However, I can't get the backlight controls to work. Pressing FN+Num2 or FN+Num8 doesn't seem to do anything.

The media keys (FN + F1 to F6) are working fine.

Anyone having similar problems? Anyone know whether the keyboard detects those FN+Numpad keypresses or whether the PS/2 sends them out to Windows and then that controls the lights via USB?

The logical thing to do is to plug it into a USB port and try it, surely. I'm sure it came with an adapter. If it works via USB, it's to do with the PS/2 connector. if it doesn't (And you've installed any relevant drivers) it's probably time to return it.
