nah, my single core A64 with a G210 is perfect for Blu ray even decoding the DTS HD 6 streams

I have a Core 2 Duo in my HTPC which i use to play full size bluray ISO images.
As has already been mentioned the GPU is the main element for BD and 1080p mkv playback. When I built mine I speced an MSI Geforce210 card. At the time IMO it was the best value for money HTPC:
There is probably better out there now.
