Looking to get some good quality 2.1 speakers for my PC, anyone have some good advice on what would be best, looking to pay up to £100?

Ageo m 2.1's or Harmon Kardon Soundsticks II both excelent speakers within your budget

I own an Ageo M 2.1 set and these are quality - for what I pay, the sound that comes out of it is amazing - the build quality is also very sturdy (Steel). Good stuff :)

M-Audio Studiofile LX4 is the best pc orientated 2.1 you can buy google for reviews. Next step would be dedicated seperates.

nobody's mentioned them yet, but i think the aego m's are about the best you'll ever find

ahuh, yep.

Alternatively try and track down a used set of Klipsch Audio ProMedia 2.1s on the bay, as they don't sell 'em over here anymore. My set were £300 new, but the sound is absolutely unrivalled, 5 years on! Awesome speakers.

It's not a headphone socket, it's another input 3.5mm socket. Basically when that's plugged in, it over writes the input from the back - useful for plugging in your iPod in e.t.c

for £100 go second hand and get a £30 amp and some £70 speakers. Then link to pc with a RCA - 3.5mm jack

The sound will blow any 2.1 pc system out the water

In my experience, and for a higher budget than £100 s/h, I have found that the reverse is true: the Aegos micturate from dizzying height over cheap separates solutions. They really are amazing little fellows :)

As I havent used (heard) the Aegoes I cannot go against them. All I can say is that I had the Megaworks 550 5.1 speakers. I bought a combridge A1 and Mission M71 speakers. I got the 71s off the bay and they wernt that expensive but in excellent condition.
For sound quality and loudness they blow the megaworks out the water. I ended up selling the megaworks to a mate for about £70.

If your wanting them for games and dvds im sure these aegos will be good but but for music check out second hand seperates first :)

m71's are lovely little speakers but they are light on bass. if it was for pure music listening id have to agree, but i expect they are for gaming also, and the m71's wouldnt do gaming justice.

i still use a set as my main front speakers btw, but never without a subwoofer:)

I used to have a pair and the Aego's sound better and go louder without distortion. (imo)
