Queens of the Stone Age Reissue tour?

Saw them up at Reading last year. Best technical performance I've ever seen live. Absolutely spot on. Probably my highlight of the weekend, alongside a suprisingly brilliant (was not expecting much) Weezer gig.

This all reminds me of the fact that UB40 have done the same thing, going back to re-tour (and refill their coffers) their signing off album. Again I would never entertain for a second the thought of funding all that awful new material.

Nowt wrong with that mate. They didn't try to fill their coffers, otherwise it would have been an arena tour.

Also, the new stuff is amazing in my opinion, much better than some of the stuff they put out at the beginning of the millenium.

I'll take band chemistry and passion for the art over technical ability every time.

I think QOTSA have always had a few of these songs that are basically elongated jams, it has gotten more prominent though, and I just cba with that. Same deal with Crooked vultures.
Josh Holmmes just seems to destroy stuff now instead of making it amazing. Arctic Monkeys?

Never really been into the whole stoner rock thing but Rated R and especially Songs for the Deaf are masterpieces and I agree with Nick Oliveri must have been quite fundamental, shame. "Millionairre" is just such a blindingly good album opener.
