What i need to know 1st of all is who has one? and if you have one can you do some measurements for me? :p

i would like to know how far the pins on the back of the card stick up after its fitted properly as i have a feeling it will hit my NB heatsink, which doesnt help.

the two pins circled are the ones im worried about, i think i can get away with the blue but im pretty sure the green circled one is going to be a problem.

What mobo do you have?

The pin circled in blue is not a problem but the green one rises about 1cm from the pcb (rough guess as i don't have a ruler on me). I have it on an x850xt and am using an ASRock Dual Vista skt939 mobo. There's about another 1cm of clearance to the north bridge! I'll try to get a pic for you! :)

the distance between them is exactly 1cm. if its more then that then i will have to look for a new northbridge cooler as i really want the Arctic Cooling Silencer.

Hi Pulse,

Found a ruler and measured. Looked to be 12-13mm so checked on the arctic cooling website and found this:

States it as 13.1mm looking at the diagram!

Hope you manage to get it to fit - it's well worth it! Runs my x850xt at 621mhz on the core at no more than 55 degrees C under full load! :)

Maybe you could remove a couple of the fins on the zalman northbridge to make room?! :rolleyes:

well as a starter,

@ stock its 500/500; temps, idle 51oc core, 35oc ram. load 55oc, 55oc.

@ best current clock 570/540; temps, idle 51oc, 36oc. load 56oc, 55oc.

ill update in a few days/weeks when i get the money together to purchase one :(
