Hey,

I have a Canon 350D and was looking at some lenses, but some are EOS fit and some are EF fit, can they both fit? or if not is there an adapter that I can buy?

Thanks in advance!

Rich

EOS and EF fit are the same afaik.

EF-S is slightly different, and will only fit APS-C sized sensors such as that on the 350d.

HTH. :)

EOS refers to the camera body. canons autofocus film and digital slr bodys are designated EOS and will all take EF(electronic focus) Lenses.

so if someone refers to an EOS lens it will be an EF lens for EOS cameras

Canon do 3 types of mount. The EF, EF-S (which fit certain digital cameras) and FD (which don't fit any EOS cameras).

As above, if it says EOS, it means EF or EF-S. There's no such thing as an EOS mount.

How much did this lens set you back if you dont mind my asking? I love the fish eye effect but dont fancy forking out for the canon model. Doubley so as I'd want the EF model due to aspirations to go full frame one day, i've heard to get the full fish eye effect you need the 8mm EFS version on a crop body :(
