Question on Current from Universal Car Charger for Mobile

Hi Guys

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 for which the official charger says output 5V/0.7A. I have just bought a Universal Car Charger which says output 5V/1000mA. Is this car charger going to be ok to charge my phone without damaging it? Is the 0.3A difference going to cause a problem?

Will be fine even with a 2 amp charger

Devices only draw what they need

As above, the device will control the ampage it pulls out so it will be fine.

A quick search shows the S2 is actually capable of pulling up to 1a so it may even charge the phone slightly faster than the official charger.
