I have a X800GTO made by HIS and it has the R480core and Samsung 1.6ns ram, when I have flashed it with different bios's I get very different clocks and dont know why, is it due to the voltage options in bios's being different.

On the default 12 pipe bios I get 580core and 580mem, I flashed it to a modified version of the bios which has 16pipes, with this bios I get 540core and 600mem, I have just tried flashing to a HIS X850XT bios and that gets me 530core and 580mem.

Can any1 explain the difference in clocks on these different bios's, the only 2 explanations I can think of is the bios's have different core/mem voltage values or my 3rd Enermax Liberty   isnt up to the job as when 16 pipes are unlocked (GPU doing more work) the clocks have to come down to become stable.

the bios's dont have voltage options. It's down to the timings set in the bios for memory and such, which you can alter yourself using Ati tray tools, and ATi Tool as well i believe.

as for clocks coming down when 16 pipes are enabled, well that's to be expected. It's always been that way with gpu's, even back when we first softmodded the r9500's.

you can find a happy medium yes, but good luck with that:p with ATi Tray Tools there's 16 timings to play with, and it can get scary when you see screen corruption and your pc then refuses to boot:p

i just dont bother now, as you can probably tell lol
