Probably me being thick but I've had my MR2 SORN'd for the last year, its SORN runs out on 31st March. If it passes its MOT this morning and I goto the post office with my reminder slip can I tax it from today (I know I will lose 3 weeks tax if I do) or can I only tax it starting from 1st April?

Depends on which reminder slip you're talking about - it may be out of date.

Best to take your V5 too, just in case. You'll need your insurance cover note and the MOT slip too of course.

You can't tax it from "today", but you can make it usable from today - they will backdate the tax to 1st March if you want to drive it today :)
