quick ebay help for friend

Hey,

My friend recieved an email just now from ebay, asking him to reenter all of his ebay details, and it says "please click here" but the link is missing.

On top of that, it says to show this message is not fake, it will have his ebay user name which it does not have. It also says that his account will be suspended and then deleted in 24 hours if he does not do as the email asks.

What do people think, do you think its genuine. I never use ebay so dont have a clue!

Go to http://www.ebay.co.uk/ and check their account's status from there.

I never trust emails asking me for details, especially when they ask for passwords.

Any chances of posting the link here, for us to check?

It's a common one. It starts by saying that you'll be addressed by your proper name to proove it's not fake, but doesn't actually mention your name.

Yep, scam. I'm getting lots of these type of scams at the moment, it's quite cunning actually. Look at the URL it references, though:

must have them do actually have propper english.
