quick guitar question

Hi need some help please.

Just had to buy a new string for my acoustic guitar. The smallest string (I am Very new to guitars lol)

it has no "END" on it so how do i attach / tie it to my guitar. I know how to do the top bit where you tune it, but the bottom i think i need to tie it on as the rest of the strings have like a plastic thing on the bottom of the strings but this string i bought (nylon) does not. Should I just buy a string with a plastic cap on the end or ???

Is your guitar an acoustic with steel/bronze strings, or a classical with nylon strings?

Classical guitar strings have no ball ends like electric or acoustic strings. You have to tie them at the bridge end, and string them as normal at the headstock end.

This pic shows how to tie a nylon string, although the pic isn't too good.
