Quick Motherboard Question

Hi All
If i was to buy ram rated at e.g 2.0volts and the mobo defaulted to 1.8volts would the motherboard still boot to at least the bios so i could up the voltage or would i need to buy a cheapo stick of ram to use first.

Yip it should boot to the BIOS and allow you to set the voltage to 2.0v.

It does this by slackening the memory timings. So you'll probably have to manually tighten them as well as setting the voltage.

Cool didnt fancy avin to buy more ram just to change the bios
