Quick question about selling SORN bike/MOT

I'm in the process of selling my 125 bike. Its MOT has run out and it is uninsured and SORNed. Do I need insurance to ride it to an MOT appointment?

Yes. I'd see if you can find a local mobile mechanic to pick it up, my local one is about £30 all in to have the bike picked up MOT'd and dropped off. Much cheaper than buying and cancelling insurance.
